Direct current is also known as an unidirectional current. Type flow of such currents in any electrical circuit is only in one direction. The magnitude may or may not, remain constant. The circuits in which d.c. current flow, are called D.C. circuits. The path taken by the d.c. current must be complete, otherwise there will not be any flow of current. The sources from where d.c. current can be obtained are, d.c. generators, rectifiers and batteries etc.
Applications of Direct Current : D.C. current is used in the processes, where direction of
flow of current is not likely to be reversed, such as | |
