DIRECTION OF MAGNETIC FLUX

It can be very easily found out either by using right hand rule or cork screw rule.

Right Hand Rule

When the conductor is being held by the right hand in such a way that the thumb points in the direction of current, the closed fingers give the direction of flux. The application of right hand rule is shown in Figure (a).
