Fleming's Right-hand Rule The direction of the dynamically induced emf or current can be determined by Fleming's right-hand rule. Accordingly, there exists a definite relation between the direction of the induced current or voltage, flux and the direction of motion of conductor, when the thumb, forefinger and middle finger of the right hand are held mutually perpendicular to each other. If the thumb points to the direction of the motion, and the forefinger to the direction of the field, then the middle finger will point in the direction of the induced emf | |
