Maxwell's Inductance-Capacitance Bridge

This bridge is shown in Figure (a). Let L₁ is the inductance to be measured, R₁ is the effective resistance of L₁. R₂, R₃, and R₄ are non-inductive resistances, and C₄ is the variable standard capacitor.
