Measurement of Medium Resistance

Resistances ranging from 1 Ω to 100 kΩ are included in this class. Most of the electrical apparatus employed are of medium resistance.

Methods of measuring medium resistances are as follows:

• Ammeter-voltmeter method
• Substitution method
• Wheatstone bridge method
• Carey-Foster bridge method

Wheatstone bridge method is the most commonly used method.
