Power in AC Circuit The instantaneous power varies continuously as the current and voltage go through a cycle.The instantaneous power p = vi, where p, v, and i are the instantaneous values of power, voltage, and current respectively
The product of Vrms and Irms is called the apparent power. When apparent power is multiplied by the power factor cos Φ of the load, it is called true power.
