SERIES-PARALLEL CIRCUITS OR COMPOUND CIRCUITS In series-parallel circuits, loads are connected both in series and in parallel. Combined series-parallel circuits are more commonly used in practical situations than either series or parallel circuits. Series-parallel circuits are also called compound circuits. At least three resistors are required to form a compound circuit. Different types of compound circuits and methods of solving them are illustrated in the following examples. | |
