SERVOMECHANISMS

A servomechanism is power amplifying feedback control system in which the controlled variable or the output is a mechanical position or its time derivatives such as velocity or acceleration.

Servo Mechanism :- A servo mechanism is a feedback control system used to control position or its derivatives. It has the following features :

• It is a closed loop system.
• It is used to control position, velocity or acceleration.
• Automatic control.
• Remote operation.
• Fast response
• High accuracy
• High power amplifying stages to operate the system from very small error to signal.
