T-section A network is said to be T-section when it looks like a T. The asymmetrical and symmetrical T-sections are shown in Figure 1 (a) and Figure 2 (b), respectively. In an asymmetrical T-section, the total series impedance is Z1 + Z3 whereas in symmetrical T-section the total series impedance is 2Z1. The shunt impedance in both the cases is Z2. Figure (1) T-section. Figure 2 (a) and Figure 2 (b) show the unbalanced and balanced T-section, respectively of symmetrical configuration. The unbalanced and balanced asymmetrical configurations can also be shown in the same way. The balanced T-section is also called as H-section. Figure (2) Symmetrical configuration of T-section. | |
