Types of Fuses : The most commonly employed fuses are : Round type fuse unit. Rewireable or kit-kats types. High rupturing capacity (H.R.C.) cartridge fuses. Hig-h capacity H.R.C. fuses. H.R.C. fuse with tripping device. High voltage H.R.C. fuses. In houses, blocks of flats, personnel amenity rooms and public buildings, i.e., whenever the electrical circuits are not constantly supervised by trained personnel the fuse elements must satisfy the condition Continuou,s current rating of fuse element = 0.8 x permissible continuous current capacity of the conductors forming the circuit to be protected | |
