Calculation of Hysteresis Loss We will now show that area of hysteresis loop represents the energy loss/m3/cycle. Then, Suppose the current increases by di in a small time dt. This will cause the flux density to increase by dB [See Fig.(a)] and hence an increase in flux d (= AdB).
