Phase advancers Phase advancers are usually used to improve the power factor of induction motors. The stator winding of induction motor draws exciting current which lags behind the voltage by an angle of 900. If the exciting ampere turns are provided from some other AC source, the stator winding will be relieved of exciting current. So, its power factor will be improved | |
