Millman's Theorem Millman's theorem states that in any network, if the voltage sources V1, V2, ... Vn in series with internal resistances R1, R2,.... Rn, respectively, are in parallel, then these sources may be replaced by a single voltage source V' in series with R' as shown in Fig.(a). Here Gn is the conductance of the nth branch, figure (a) A similar theorem can be stated for n current sources having internal conductances which can be replaced by a single current source /' in parallel with an equivalent conductance.
