Integration Using OP Amp This circuit does integration of input voltage waveform. To build up the circuit, OP Amp is used in which feedback element is capacitor and input element is resistor. The schematic diagram of this circuit is shown in Figure (a). The relation of output voltage V_{o}, in terms of input voltage V_{s}, ca n be obtained by using KCL equation

On integration, .............. (1) where C_{1} is the constant of integration. The constant C_{1} is proportional to the input voltage at t = O. Equation (1) shows that the output voltage is proportional to the negative integral of input voltage and inversely proportional to the time constant RC of the circuit. If the input is square wave, the output will be rectangular wave. The usage of integrator is mostly in analogue computers and analogue to digital (A/D) converters. It is also used in waveshaping circuits
